Like in a traditional ultrasound, 3D & 4D ultrasounds use soundwaves to generate an image of the baby. However, a 3D sends sound waves in at multiple angles to generate a true 3D image of the baby. A 4D ultrasound is the same as a 3D ultrasound, except that it provides video so that you can view the baby's movement.
I have been performing diagnostic ultrasound for eleven years. My experience in diagnostic ultrasound has taken me to various places from Norton’s Hospital and Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky to St John’s Cardiology here in Springfield, Missouri. It was at Norton’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine that my focus was in Level I and Level II fetal ultrasounds for high-risk pregnancies.
The first time I saw my own child with the use of ultrasound, I knew that this was my passion. My greatest desire is to celebrate what I feel is the most amazing and wondrous gift...a child. I want you to experience to the fullest your child's world within the womb and the importance of family bonding. I want you to not only feel your child, but experience their movements, yawns, and yes, their SMILE.
I've often thought how amazing it would be to share this experience with my whole family. I definitely wanted my first born Emily there to experience her new sibling, but also my parents, my in-laws and some dear friends. Of course a group that size may not be allowed in other facilities, so my promise to you is that as long as your home holds them they are welcome.
It is my true intent to provide you with an experience free of time-constraints. Giving you a perfect memory is my heart's desire and if that takes a few extra minutes, then I'm happy to comply.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make you feel the comfort that you deserve. I look forward to the privilege of being a part of your story.
